Recreating Halloween Chracters.

Bride of Frankenstein.

For me to recreate the Bride of Frankenstein I would first of all apply a white foundation on the face and to the rest of the exposed skin. Then I would use a translucent powder on the face to Matt out the skin. I would then use false eyelashes to enhance the eyes, black contact lenses and a black lipstick. For the eyebrows I would just use a simple eyebrow pencil (black) and draw a thin brow line but point it upwards above the temple. The scars under the jawline. I would just use special effect makeup. When  it comes to the hair I would either just use a wig or if I was on a budget I would backcomb the hair and crimp to create a frizz effect and pull the hair away from the face. For colour I would just use a black spray if the hair is not already dark and use white spray for the white streaks of the hair and do a finger wave for the white streaks. The outfit would either just be a costume or a long white dress.

Izabella Miko in Mr Brightside music video.

First I would use a primer on the skin then use a pale foundation to create porcelain skin and then use a powder that will highlight and give a healthy glow to the skin. Then use Benefits high beam on the brows and cheeks bone to highlight those areas even more. I would use subtle eyelashes and subtle eyeshadow and highlighter to brighten the eyes for a standout effect without looking like the model if wearing alot of eye makeup and to open up the eyes I would put with eyeshadow on the outside of the corners of the eyes to make them appear larger. I would just use a light eyebrow pencil and use a light pink blusher. For the lips I would just use a natural pink shade. For the hair if the models hair is dark then I would just apply a wig but of the models hair is very light almost white blonde then I would just back all of the hair to create a sort of Afro effect. I would just create a floaty white and green dress, nearly floor length with fabrics from a local fabric store and have some vintage heels, nude stockings and pearls.

Charlie Chaplin.

I would just Matt out the skin with white foundation and powder and give depth to the cheeks bones by using grey face paint and blending, to try and capture that black and white theme. I would use a back eyebrow pencil and make the eyebrows black and thick and use black eyeshadow under the eyes and a little mascara to open up eyes, plus use very dark brown contact lenses and apply a Charlie Chaplin moustache. For the hair I would slick it back with hair gel and have the model wear a bowler hat and a all black suit, white shirt, black bow and shoes.

My Three Fantasy Characters.

The White Queen from Alice and Wonderland.

The way I would recreate this look would probably start with making all the exposed skin very pale to the point of being white then make the eyebrows very dark with a eyebrow pencil and only adding a small amount of mascara to the eyes. Then apply a very dark lip for a stand out look. Then give the model a long white/blonde wig and a pale lacey dress and pearls.

Edward Scissor Hands.

I would first start with some special effects I would create cuts with latex but add no colour just to build texture as the cuts will be covered by makeup to make it look like old scars. Then I would use Natural Plasto Wax to cover the eyebrows. I would then use a foundation that is a little pale and go over the scarring effect and Plasto Wax and the whole face. After this I would use a Matt powder to Matt out the face and stop any shine and small amount of brown blusher under the cheek bones to create depth in the face. Then I would use a brown Matt eyeshadow under the eye to create a dark circle effect and apply a darker shade on the top lid up to the brow bone. I would use a dark Matt lipstick and black contact lenses I would avoid applying any mascara as I want the contact lenses to be the main focus. To finish it off I would use a black matted wig and Edward Scissor Hands costume.

Pirates of the Caribbean Mermaid.

I would apply a natural foundation and keep the skin as natural as possible I would apply a small amount of mascara to the eyes to enhance the eyes. Then I would use a light green, almost white eye contacts and use vampire fangs on the teeth. For scales I would use some clear and aqua coloured sequins and improvise with eyelash glue to stick them on the forehead, cheeks and arms. When it comes to the hair I would just keep it straight and slick it back using hair jell and hair spray. For a costume I would either go to a local costume shop or I would use a skin coloured leotard and floor length, tight fitted skirt either blue or green and attach the same sequins to that.

The History Of Makeup.

Makeup has been around for a very long time. The first people to establish it as an important part of culture and beauty where the egyptians the used natural sources such as unguent and kohl. The romans also ould use makeup to inhance there beauty too, they would tend to pale out there skin. During the middle ages the Europeans would use makeup to pale out there skin which would show a sign of wealth and stature in society.

Makeup Brands I love!

L`OREAL Volume Million Lashes.

I was always trying to look for a great mascara that would stay and not melt down my face and wouldn`t flake and basically would do what it said it would do. This mascara is brilliant! for me it does what it says it really opens up my eyes and with the Extra Black L`OREAL Volume Million Lashes which I use the most it give that intense black effect and gives alot of volume by far the best mascara I have used and will continue to use! This mascara is priced round £5/£9 total bargain if you ask me.

GOSH Porcelain Foundation.

I was introduced to this by a friend who uses it too I found it really hard to find a pale foundation because every other brands palest foundations against my skin still looked too dark. This foundation is great its the palest foundation I have found so far and it gives me a great coverage.

L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Smoothing Primer
L'Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Smoothing Primer.

I wear this product as a base for my makeup it applys on very well and gives a great smooth surface for your foundation to go on evenly. Its a small pot and pricey but worth the money as it has lasted me a long time! its £14.29.

Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner.

Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eye Liner Black
I tend to wear eyeliner alot and I love to do a 50`s style flick at the end of each eye so finding a good eyeliner with a good brush was a must! This is the best one I have found so far its tricky at first but the effect is really good and usually you only need to apply one coat. It lasts a long time so its good value for money.

Topshop Lipstick, Rumour Has It.

I like this lipstick shade for casual makeup and going out makeup, it goes well with heavy eye makeup or just a light eye makeup. I also think it compliments my dark hair too.
